Reviewer Comments: Every teenage girl would love to live the life of Kira Knightly, she is a celebrity, has money and fame. Alexia gets the live that dream but she has an ulterior motive. And this motive will get her the next two best things in her life after her mother and grandmother.

Alexia is the typical teenage girl. She has many of the issues, needing a date for the Sadie Hawkins ball and trying to actually ask the boy she prefers. She has enemies and the most popular girl in school lays in wait as Lexie tries to plot her life around ignoring these girls. She doesn’t have a lot of money or possessions but she has a mother and grandmother who love her very much. Lexie doesn’t know much about her father but is determined to find out, one day. She makes her decisions and does appear to be like the average spoiled teenage girl but she believes she it doing it all for the right reasons.

After a prank, the assistant of the famous Kira Knightley asks her to be the double for Kira as she tries to finish her new album. Lexie jumps at the chance even though her mother is reluctant as it means she will have contact with her father. Lexie figures out the connection which makes the trip more important for her. When Lexie arrives she quickly learns that perhaps all is not better if you have money and fame. Although she does find one good thing and that is singer Grant Delray. Grant is angry with Kira over certain issues and Lexie tries to smooth things. In the end, Lexie really makes a mess of things and this is when more is discovered. This story has lots of messages for the reader. One being that money and fame are not everything as it has a downside. The lesson Kira learns is more about herself and how she could be a better person a deal with those around her better. Alexia doesn’t really grow as much as Kira does but she is able to show that she does know what she wants to do with her life and the direction it should take. There is a happy conclusion to this story.
